![]() ![]() Thankfully, LEGO Jurassic World: Double Trouble tries to solve that! It aired on Family Network last weekend in Canada. The story arc comes to a conclusion, but after all that’s said and done, the series left me yearning for more. ![]() It’s important to his plans, and thankfully she hasn’t viewed it. The bad guys are after pirate treasure hidden somewhere on the island, and I wanted to see Dennis succeed! He’s the leader, and his plan to build his own Disneyland is regularly stymied if he can ever get that VHS tape which Claire has. There’s jealousy and even hurt feelings here from man’s best friend in Plus, we even see how close this dinosaur trainer is with his dog, Red. This series makes everyone know (but them) that they will be a couple. The movies never delved into their relationship up close. The episode “Symptoms!” showed Owen always had feelings for Claire since day one. Between the first film and Fallen Kingdom, all we learned was that Owen and Claire’s romance did not last. They are bonding, showing a lot more than the movies ever did. Although they have a one track mind in terms of character development–like Owen always saying he wants his pay check, Claire regularly pining for that promotion, and Vic wanting to walk–no, take down a dinosaur–the better parts come from how close the hero and heroine become. Thankfully, the characters involved throughout the series are focussed. As for what’s next, the series is jumping ship to other networks to say dinosaurs are not dead. We see how he found his motorcycle, and it’s these nods that I truly appreciated.īoth series are currently available on Netflix. Owen thought what he was employed for was a one-off job, but the attraction is with the girl instead of the island paradise. Knowing the prior special, The Secret Exhibit, is a must. The Raptors understand Owen it’s nice to see how his handling of them progressed from this show to the live action. Also, this series makes the reptiles more intelligent than we take them for (when compared to the live-action). The plotting is right up there with Star Wars: The Freemakers and I liked the salutary lessons included in how to respect the animal kingdom. Aaah fuck i cant believe youve done this1/17/2024 ![]() ![]() A minority might consitute only 2 % of the local population but the friend circle could be closer to 30-50%. You can often see a clear bias towards their own in their friend circles compared to what the local distribution actually looks like. All of these places are typical places for them to socalize specifically with each other. Like their own churches, sporting clubs, restaurants/bars, little markets delivering home country goods whole city districts sometimes even. There is a very clear tendency of minority populations fostering communities with each other in foreign countries. ![]() Do you truly wanna act like this is not supported by data? Peek chicken1/16/2024 ![]() ![]() So, since I’ve always preferred making my own spice blends (like this super popular corned beef seasoning or this Mediterranean spice blend), I decided to make my own – and the results are SO much tastier! All you need is dried minced onion, fine sea salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and dried parsley. I tried it that way, and it was seriously salty. I do recommend using air chilled chicken because it’s much juicier after it finishes cooking than chicken water-chilled chicken.ĭIY Onion Soup Mix: Most no peek chicken recipes call for Lipton onion soup mix to flavor the chicken. You could use bone-in chicken breasts, thighs, or drumsticks if that’s all you have on hand though. They really absorb the flavors of the chicken seasoning and the creamy sauce that the rice is cooked in. Not only do you not have to cook the rice before making the casserole (hello weeknight time savings!), but it’s also just so much less finicky and the recipe is a lot more forgiving when you use Minute Rice.Ĭhicken: I used boneless skinless chicken breasts, and I think they’re perfect in this recipe. Rice: I love using instant rice in rice casseroles because it takes so much of the guesswork out of cooking the rice. Spices: A combination of garlic powder, paprika, fine sea salt, and ground black pepper seasons the rice perfectly. The creamy and savory flavors balance each other out so perfectly to make the most delicious base for the rice. Milk: Cooking the rice in milk makes the sauce so creamy. It literally seasons the rice from the inside out, which is what makes it so delicious. The chicken broth adds a savory flavor profile that you just can’t replicate with rice that’s cooked in water. If you need to make this recipe gluten free, you can use 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch instead.Ĭhicken Broth: Cooking the rice in a combination of chicken broth and milk adds tons of flavor. Mixing the flour with a fat to make a roux allows you to obtain the thickening properties of flour, without having it clump up like it would if you tried to mix it directly with a liquid in the pot. If you don’t want to use butter though, you can replace it with olive oil.įlour: Flour is the second half of the roux. I prefer using butter because it’s so flavorful (seriously, it’s SO much more flavorful than a roux made with oil). The roux is what we’re using to thicken the sauce. If you’re looking for a chicken and rice bake that uses long grain white rice instead of instant rice, be sure to check out this Southern Chicken and Rice (it’s one of my favorite recipes).īutter: You need a fat to combine with the flour to make a roux. ![]() Plus, that’s where the recipe got its name! It really is so critical that you don’t peek at all while this chicken and rice dinner is cooking. It is really hard to keep the lid on the entire time, it smells so good and curiosity has you on your toes, but it’s totally worth the end results. The rice absorbs all the flavor from the easy homemade cream sauce, and it’s cooked to perfection in the oven. The chicken is juicy and tender, and it’s flavored so perfectly with the homemade onion chicken seasoning. This no peek chicken is such an easy dinner to prepare and it’s so flavorful! Try serving it with some roasted broccoli for a delicious balanced meal. :) I am trying to do a couple all veggie dinners each week, a couple nights of fish, and the rest of the week is a toss up with chicken filling in the majority of the time. This from scratch No Peek Chicken is ultra flavorful and so easy to make! There’s hardly any prep time, and I love being able to make it without condensed soup or Lipton onion soup mix. I want us to eat healthier and have been preparing healthier foods, but we do enjoy the occasional bad meal. I am generally not a picky eater, I like most things, but am just always on the look out for something different. I would say a good 90% of what I make I like, but just not enough for it to be THE recipe. Since I like trying new things, the recipe has to be pretty special for me to hang on to it. When I find a recipe I love, it goes on a 4圆 card and into my recipe box for future use. I love to collect cookbooks (don't we all) because I am always on the hunt for yummy new recipes. I am proud to say both my picky one and my picky husband are eating a lot more vegtables and liking them! I came to the 'Zaar looking for new ways to prepare foods to try and get my family to eat healthier. I am a mother of 2 young kids, one of which is picky. ![]()

Now and later candy factory brooklyn1/16/2024 ![]() Or share some with your friends both now and later too. So, it was almost like a candy bar but it had multiple pieces, allowing you to enjoy one now and then more later. It was purchased or available in a sleeve, or what they referred to as a bar. Now and Later candy was all the rage when it came out. In fact, even the original sleeve or bar or Now and Later offered up to 14 flavor varieties, which is pretty phenomenal for such a simple square of candy. They’ve come out with a lot of different flavors over time. It is a long-lasting chew and while you don’t chew it like you would a piece of gum, it does typically last a long amount of time and is chewy and juicy. Now and Later candy was actually meant to be a gum replacement. These come in a lot of different flavors, including a line of sour flavors as well.Īnother fun fact for you. ![]() They still have their traditional hard but chewy candy square that remains popular but they also now offer a variety of chews. Of course, the Now and Later candy has evolved over time. They are very similar in overall design and packaging but not so similar as a candy treat. Originally, the candy came in a small leave of the various cubes, much like what we know of Starburst candies. Finally, Now & Laters came to rest with the Ferrara Pan Candy Company and they remain the distributor of Now and Later candy today. READ MORE: Pillsbury - The Iconic Brand Behind All-time Favorite Baked Goodsįarley & Sathers Candy Company purchased Nabisco, including this candy in 2000 and then in 2012, Kraft/Phillips Morris acquired Nabisco. Beatrice Foods merged with Leaf in 1983 and was later sold to Nabisco in 1992. It passed from Phoenix Candy Company to Beatrice Foods. It’s changed hands several times since the candy was originally created. ![]() The story of the Now and Later began in 1962 at the Phoenix Candy Company. Another funny tagline about the name was that if you put one in your mouth, you could still be chewing it later because they are so deliciously chewy. The concept behind the name was all about how a person would like it now and definitely want some more later, hence the name Now & Later. There are still some small shops that sell Now and Later candy today but it’s mostly found at gas stations, corner stores, or small shops. It wasn’t long before Now and Later was sold across America at convenience stores everywhere. This 60s candy became an instant hit in New York City with people buying them for their kids to enjoy during lunch breaks or after-school snacks. You wait and wait and then when you least expect it, the flavor is released. Now and later is the perfect name for this unique candy because if you put it in your mouth, there’s no immediate taste or pop of flavor. Now and Later was a revolutionary type of candy because it looked like any other hard-boiled lollipop but had one big difference: its delayed flavor release. The owner of this small business had been selling his goods for years but wasn’t seeing much success until he came up with a new idea: Now and Later candy. ![]() This candy store sold all kinds of candies from chocolate bars to gumballs and hard-boiled lollipops. In the early 1970s, there was a candy shop on Manhattan’s west side. It’s this hard square of candy that reminds you of a starburst but isn’t as juicy. Now and later candy has always been a winner. ![]()

Recent shooting in anadarko ok1/16/2024 ![]() The first Indigenous cabinet member and member of Laguna Pueblo tribe, Haaland is more than halfway finished her Healing Tour, which most recently had stops in Washington state’s Tulalip Tribe, Arizona’s Gila River Indian Community, and Minnesota’s Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe.Ī grant opportunity to fund these types of investigations was announced July 11 as part of the National Endowment for the Humanities ongoing partnership with the Department of the Interior. It is the first time a federal department has attempted to gather and preserve the legacy of boarding schools by listening to the people most impacted by them. Haaland continues her historic Road to Healing Tour, which aims to document the lived experiences of boarding school survivors, their descendants and their tribal communities. These discoveries come as Secretary of Interior Deb Haaland continues the federal government’s national investigation into the boarding schools’ treatment of children, including identifying which schools possess cemeteries at their locations and which have confirmed deaths of children within their walls. “Our hearts go out to the families of these children as we are left to consider how best to honor and memorialize their suffering.” - Ona Segundo, the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians The anthropologist from the Seneca Iroquois National Museum in upstate New York said the remains are specifically from an Iroquois group, according to Melanie Linn Gutowski, chair of the Sharpsburg Historical Commission. Sharpsburg’s police and Allegheny County forensics consulted with anthropologists and archaeologists to confirm the remains belonged to Native Americans. On June 21, workers and contractors excavating on Short Canal Street in Sharpsburg unearthed human remains four to five feet underground while attempting to install a piece of equipment. In Pennsylvania, officials confirmed on July 9 that the human remains discovered during construction work by a gas crew late last month were Indigenous people. Some of the bodies had been returned to their families, while others were buried at the school in a forgotten location. The researchers have not yet identified 37 of the children. At least one death was caused by an accidental shooting. Researchers found that 86 children - described in a student’s letter, newspaper clippings and school records - had perished at the school, mostly because of disease. Then in November, ground-penetrating radar was again used and detected an area that was consistent with burials, but nothing could be confirmed until archaeologists broke ground. Last summer, dogs trained to find decaying remains signaled to archaeologists that they had found a burial site in a piece of land bordered by railroad tracks, a canal and an agricultural field. The process is expected to take several days, after months of trial and error to determine the exact location of the graves, The Washington Post reported July 11. Though the school closed in 1931 and most of its buildings were demolished, the dig is an attempt to locate children who never came home from the school and whose bodies were never uncovered. In Nebraska, archaeologists began digging at the site of the long-shuttered Genoa Indian Industrial School 90 miles west of Omaha, hoping to uncover the location of the school’s cemetery. “Our hearts go out to the families of these children as we are left to consider how best to honor and memorialize their suffering,” said Ona Segundo, chairwoman of Arizona’s Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians, in a statement provided to The Salt Lake Tribune. The Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah and its five sovereign bands are “devastated” by what was unearthed by Utah State University using ground-penetrating radar. In southern Utah on July 11, twelve children’s bodies were found at a burial site at Panguitch Boarding School east of Highway 89 - becoming the only school among at least eight operated in Utah where student deaths and burials at the school have been verified. Some have been waiting for confirmation that Native children were buried at the sites of local boarding schools, while other remains were discovered by sheer accident. Indigenous communities in three states this week are mourning the human remains discovered in their area. By Nancy Marie Spears Secretary of The Interior Deb Haaland listens to testimony from a boarding school survivor during the first stop on The Road to Healing tour at Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma in July 2022. ![]()
